The Baker will perform the task in Rota, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands(CNMI) in a commercial or institutional kitchen environment operated by Kalayaan, Inc., the petitioner and employer. The work environment includes designated areas for preparation, baking, plating, storage, and sanitation, including dry storage rooms, walk-in refrigerators/freezers, a baking area, and dishwashing stations. Kitchen environment is a fast-paced institutional kitchen setting with frequent exposure to heat, steam, flour dust, and baking preparation tools, commercial baking equipment, and bulk raw materials used for baking. Duties are performed in compliance with institutional food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and workplace safety requirements. The Baker directs and coordinates bakery deliveries by preparing, packaging, and organizing baked goods in accordance with daily production and delivery schedules; coordinating production timing to ensure orders are ready for designated pickup times, organizing completed items by route or destination to support accurate serving. The Baker will communicate order details, quantities, and special handling instructions such as proper stacking and temperature control, to delivery personnel as needed, verify delivery orders against production records to ensure accuracy prior to release, and adjust baking and preparation sequences to meet delivery and serving deadlines. or changes in volume of production, and ensure that all baked products comply with sanitation, labeling, and food safety requirements before transport. The Baker performs routine cleaning and basic maintenance of baking equipment and utensils, cleans work tables, counters, floors, and storage areas to ensure a safe, sanitary, and efficient kitchen operation. Remove food residue, grease, floor dust, and debris from equipment surfaces in accordance with sanitation procedures at the end of every task as necessary or at the end of every shift. Ensure ingredients and finished products are properly stored and labeled to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination. Clean and sanitize commercial ovens, mixers, proofers, racks, pans, trays, utensils, scales, thermometers, knives, and other hand tools after each use and at scheduled intervals. Cleans and disassembles removable parts for thorough cleaning and reassembly following established procedures for the use of equipment or tools.
